Les Rendez-vous de l’île de Ré: A festive celebration of maritime heritage Get ready for an unforgettable day immersed in maritime heritage and festivities! 08:00 –: Heritage vessels beach themselves on ‘La Clavette’ beach 08:30 Arrival of the Tofinou and beaching around the Tofinou Admire these majestic sailing ships and historic vessels as they are beached, bearing witness to our region’s maritime history. 12.00 – 14.30: A convivial picnic on ‘La Clavette’ beach. A unique opportunity to explore the hulls of these iconic vessels, chat with passionate sailors and enjoy a tasting of fresh oysters and local cheeses. 2.30 pm – Start of the Tofinou Regatta: La Flotte > Ars-en-Ré 3.00 pm – 5.00 pm: Grand maritime parade in La Flotte Bay. Marvel at the majestic spectacle of the sailing ships and heritage vessels gliding across the Atlantic waters, creating an enchanting scene beneath the skies of the Île de Ré. 5.00 pm – 5.30 pm: Gathering of heritage vessels and entry into the harbour. A moment of shared experience and intense emotion amongst maritime enthusiasts, at the port of La Flotte and along the seafront. To mark this iconic gathering, we will have the honour of welcoming numerous heritage vessels from Charente-Maritime. Come along to this timeless event, where sailing ships and other heritage treasures will come together for an unforgettable parade. Come and see the first ‘Tofinou’, the tugboat ‘Hoop’, the gaff-rigged cutter ‘Wayward’, the yawl ‘Ismana’, the schooner ‘La Gaillarde’, the sloop ‘Sinbad’ and many other heritage vessels. 6.00 pm – 9.30 pm: A festive atmosphere at the harbour! Sea shanties, a refreshment stand and an oyster bar – in partnership with the Île de Ré Oyster Producers’ Association – await you at the ‘La Flotte en fête’ refreshment stand, where you can savour the island’s culinary delights. Let yourself be swept away by the music and the friendly atmosphere! 10.30 pm: Grand musical fireworks display in La Flotte Bay. A spectacular fireworks display stretching 800 metres across the waterfront, synchronised with immersive music, will light up the sky and provide an unforgettable spectacle along the seafront. ‘L’Odyssée’ A grand pyrotechnic journey in three acts ‘Tonight, the sky becomes our ocean. Cast off and join the crew of L’Odyssée’. L’Odyssée is a three-year pyrotechnic and musical trilogy. Each year, a new chapter unveils the adventures of a ship and its crew as they set out to conquer unknown worlds. Act One: “L’Odyssée – The Horizon of Possibilities”. The journey begins where the land fades away to make way for the vast blue expanse. A pyrotechnic display produced by SPARKLIGHT, an artistic creation by Matthieu MOREL 10.00 pm – 1.00 am: Enchanting illumination of heritage ships. The harbour waters will be transformed into a veritable spectacle of lights, creating a magical and enchanting atmosphere. 10.50 pm – 12.30 am: Closing ceremony with the SHOWYS orchestra.
