The weather on Île de Ré: a mild, sunny climate

Île de Ré enjoys a temperate oceanic climate, characterised by mild, sunny summers and gentle winters. Thanks to the influence of the ocean, temperatures remain moderate throughout the year, with summer highs of around 25°C, while winters are rarely harsh, and temperatures seldom drop below 5°C.

Rainfall is fairly evenly spread throughout the year, but the island is drier in the summer, making it a popular destination for sun-seeking holidaymakers. Sea breeze makes the climate pleasant even on the hottest summer days.

In short, Île de Ré offers an ideal setting for enjoying beaches, water sports and cycling all year round, with generous sunshine and reliably good weather.
