Guided tour of the production facilities and tasting La Ferme des Baleines is an aquaculture farm dedicated to saltwater farming, located at the end of the Fier d'Ars, in the commune of Saint-Clément-des-Baleines on the Île de Ré, in a preserved natural environment. Discover our products, exclusively sourced from our salt marshes: oysters, king prawns, clams, salicornia and organic sea lettuce. Come and visit us on our 40 hectares of marshland to discover the techniques of salt marsh aquaculture and share our vision of quality production that preserves the fragile ecosystem of the Île de Ré marshes. La Ferme des Baleines is open for visits on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. On the programme: exploration of the oyster nursery, explanation of farming and refining techniques in the claires, and a presentation of plants typical of the marshes.
