Description
This summer, Festi’Cabanes is coming to the Île de Ré!
What’s on the programme? Oyster tastings and a DJ set!
For the first time ever, the Île de Ré Oyster Producers’ Association is organising the Festi’ Cabanes! A brand-new event combining oyster-farming heritage, a friendly atmosphere and music across several of the island’s tasting huts .
From June to September 2026, a series of DJ sets will take place at various huts belonging to the APHRÉ (Association des Producteurs d’Huîtres de l’Île de Ré). From 6.30 pm, locals, tourists and lovers of local produce are invited to come together around a simple concept: sampling oysters and seafood in a festive atmosphere, to the sounds of local DJs, from 6.30 pm to 11 pm.
Introducing the oyster huts to a new generation.
Through the Festi’ Cabanes, the Île de Ré Oyster Association aims to promote the region’s tasting huts and attract a younger audience to these iconic landmarks of the Île de Ré’s heritage. Facing the ocean, in the heart of the salt marshes or in the island’s oyster-farming villages, each evening will offer the chance to discover a different hut and meet the oyster farmers who keep this local industry thriving day in, day out.
This first edition aims to be both festive and authentic, celebrating Île de Ré’s oyster-farming expertise in a friendly setting accessible to all.
This is a travelling summer event, as each Festi' Cabanes date will take place in a different hut, offering visitors the chance to discover the variety of tasting venues on the Île de Ré.
The full programme of dates and participating huts is set out on the attached poster, on social media and on the Group’s website: www.leshuitresdeliledere.fr
