L'Âne en Culotte is an asinerie - artisan soap factory created in 2025, located in Bois-Plage-en-Ré.

On the Ile de Ré, we raise with passion the Baudet du Poitou, a rare and emblematic breed of donkey, recognizable by its thick, woolly coat.

Every day, we use our donkeys' milk to produce around a hundred soaps, using the traditional cold saponification method, a gentle, low-temperature process.
It contains organic vegetable oils and butters.
Rich in natural glycerine, it gently moisturizes your skin.
By choosing this soap, you're helping to preserve the emblematic Poitou baudet.
