Description
All Audiences – Duration 55 Minutes – Without Words
Created And Performed By Matthieu Simon And Eric Mimeau
Directed And Artistic Collaboration: Alain Servant
Production / Distribution: Virginie Parmentier – No Mad
The Audience Takes Their Seats In The Middle Of A Metallic And Mechanical Sound Universe.
Two Workers In White Coats Are Finalizing Preparations For A Piano And Drum Concert. A Bell Rings. With Help From The Audience, They Change Costumes And Present Themselves As Musicians, Well Dressed, Groomed, And Distinguished, As If For A Grand Recital. Everything Seems Under Control.
However, As They Try To Do Too Much, The Performance Gradually Derails Into Digression, Until An Accident Occurs. Then An Unexpected Sound Entity Intervenes, Dictates, Intrudes, Orders… Punishes! Should One Obey Or Resist? Or Break Free Before Madness Takes Over?
In This Burlesque, Musical, And Wordless Duo, Quirky, Fantastical, And Touching Characters Evolve In A Joyful Chaos.
The Company Offers An Offbeat Performance, Blending Laughter And Musical Virtuosity, At The Heart Of An Immersive Rotating World. Everything Seems To Turn, Slide, And Sway Like A Carousel Or A Circus. The Circular Stage Design, Surround Sound Landscapes In Quadraphony, And The Proximity Of The Audience All Contribute To The Experience.
A Sensory Journey Where Bodies, Sounds, And Gazes Intertwine, Giving Rise To Surprise, Tenderness, Emotion, Laughter, And Questions About Power.
