Description

‘When words are all about emotion’. When the heart speaks, everyone has their say. Emotions break the monotony and are the driving force behind our lives.
Monday 20 July 6.30 pm ‘Once upon a time… the tales of the Pipoteur.’ Staged interactive storytelling. A show for all ages, suitable for children aged 3 and over. We all have a grandad whose speciality is taking us on a journey through convoluted anecdotes, to such an extent that we sometimes doubt their veracity… Here, there’s no room for doubt: when the Comte Pipoteur tells a story, everyone’s ears prick up. But under this magical big top, every story is true! So arm yourselves with your wildest ideas to help Count Pipoteur and all his companions in these interactive tales that push the boundaries of imagination. Because when you believe firmly enough, just like our dear friend Peter Pan, even the most far-fetched tales can come to life before our very eyes… 9.00 pm Concert by Cléa Vincent It’s already been fifteen years since Cléa Vincent first took to the stage with that childlike enthusiasm and passion for pop and its versatility, from the early bars in Paris right through to the Bataclan last year. Her name is now inextricably linked with some of the most exciting developments in the contemporary French indie scene. From the very start, she has asserted her taste for spontaneous, candid and sunny music, turning her songs into spaces for introspection as much as they are snippets of dialogue. Driven by a desire to share, she has embarked on numerous collaborations (Kim Giani, Jeanne Balibar, Alison Wheeler, Jacques, João Selva, Les Clopes…) and has been enriched by encounters that span genres. Influenced by 1980s French-language pop yet always firmly rooted in the present, she has also travelled extensively, drawing inspiration from her tours of South America for the EPs *Tropi-Cléa*, where bossa nova and samba blend with her distinctive pop style. Following three albums, including *Advitam Æternamour*, Cléa Vincent now unveils *Speakeasy*, an intimate piano album that reflects her artistic freedom and marks a new chapter in her career. Tuesday 21 July 7.30 pm Improvisational theatre. The improvisers from Impro & Co – La Rochelle will play with your words to treat you to a madcap show. An hour where you’ll be in charge of the words, and Impro & Co will be there to make you laugh! A public speaking competition will take place during the interval. 9.30 pm Concert by ABAD Rap – Never there on time but always there when it counts, ABAD is an artist who seeks to create the moment. Whether it’s for a cup of tea, a rest on a sweltering day or simply enjoying an evening for two, the rapper transports you to the fragments of worlds he creates through each song. ABAD is a person who refuses to accept boredom. Whether lost in a field of flowers or in the depths of space, he is an artist who invites you on a journey – and it won’t be a quiet one.
