This September, explore the life of filmmaker Alice Guy.

It’s time for a lecture-performance. On one hand, Laure Huselstein, an actress with the îlot-théâtre company, will portray Alice Guy on stage. On the other, Coraline Refort, who holds a Ph.D. in film studies and is a specialist on the director, will share her expertise drawn from her many years of research. Ahead of the evening, Véronique Lebris—a special guest, founder of the Alice Guy Prize, and author of a biography of Alice Guy to be published in 2025 “Alice Guy, the Most Daring of Cinema’s Pioneers,” will be signing copies of her book from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Les Plages bookstore in Rivedoux-Plage.
