An essential bus route across the Ile de Ré
Route 150 serves all the communes on the Ile de Ré, passing close to village centres, markets, beaches and a number of iconic sites such as the Phare des Baleines. It provides easy access to the island from La Rochelle SNCF station, with connections to regional and national trains.
Stops adapted to the season
To cope with the tourist influx, some additional stops have been introduced during the high season or when certain local shuttles are not running.
These adjustments facilitate access to beaches, park-and-ride sites and natural areas that are very popular in summer, particularly in Sainte-Marie-de-Ré, Le Bois-Plage-en-Ré, La Couarde-sur-Mer and Saint-Martin-de-Ré.
Travelling by bus on the Ile de Ré: practical advice
- Favour off-peak times in summer for greater comfort.
- Stops close to markets are very busy in the morning.
- Line 150 is ideal as a complement to cycling, for organising mixed and responsible journeys (booking required).
- Some stops are only served in one direction or at certain times of the year: check before you set off.
A soft alternative to the car
When you use line 150, you’re choosing a more environmentally-friendly mode of transport, in keeping with the spirit of the Ile de Ré, an area committed to more sustainable, peaceful tourism accessible to all.
