With LPO-Maison du Fier, experience the heart of the Rétais natural environment !

Accessible from the Maison du Fier, LPO welcome site on Île de Ré, the walking trail allows you to explore the Lilleau des Niges nature reserve The 2 km loop follows the terrestrial part of the reserve (see map) Meet the birds that inhabit the marshes around the Maison du Fier and within the nature reserve Depending on the time of year, the species present vary and the best times of day change with the seasons Visit the welcome center for more information To make the most of this walk, renting binoculars and audio guides is recommended Equipped with educational points and audio guide stations, this trail allows you to learn about the site’s history, how the nature reserve is managed, and the natural habitats it contains Allow 1h30 to leisurely walk the trail Equipment rental is by half-day (€5 per pair of binoculars/€2 audio guide or ID guide/€15 spotting scope/€10 treasure hunt kit) Check the opening hours of the Maison du Fier to know when to rent your equipment (https://www.maisondufier.fr/horaires/) Want to explore with a nature guide? To make the most of the walk around the nature reserve, renting optical equipment is recommended by the LPO team

For those seeking a more playful activity, we recommend purchasing a treasure hunt kit It includes a pair of binoculars (rental), the bird guide of Île de Ré (rental), an activity booklet, and a pencil

- For any equipment rental, an ID will be requested (identity card, passport, driver’s license) It will be held as a deposit for the duration of the rental
