Discover the Sea Esplanade and the market at Rivedoux-Plage
Launched in 2008, the project to redevelop the centre of Rivedoux aims to improve three aspects of the town: grouping services and revitalising commerce, improving traffic flow and opening up the town to the sea. The covered market hall, located in the heart of the town centre, embodies the commercial dynamism of the square, surrounded by shops. This modern building has a central plan and large windows protected by sunbreakers. The interior space, with no supporting elements, allows great freedom for stalls. Its gable and zinc roof are reminiscent of the architecture of nineteenth-century covered markets. Wing-shaped canopies shelter the outdoor stalls.
On the seafront, an esplanade offers a breathtaking view and leads to the promenade and sculpture trail.
