Set off to explore Loix along a pleasant, safe and flat route designed for families with pushchairs, in the heart of one of the Île de Ré’s most peaceful villages. Your walk begins at the Place du Marché, a friendly spot where young and old alike can enjoy the merry-go-round and the playground before setting off to explore the village. Public toilets are also available nearby to make your family outing easier. Continue your walk to the Church of Sainte-Catherine in Loix, whose bell tower dominates the village and bears witness to its rich heritage. The route then takes you to the Loix tide mill, an iconic site nestled in the heart of a preserved natural environment.
