Description
“Java Night Fever,” a disco night brought to you by Label Oyat - La Java des Baleines.
Come relive the golden age of disco with us!
Why?
Because disco appeals to everyone and effortlessly brings all generations together on the dance floor!
Because disco is all about camaraderie, the joy of being together, celebration, and a zest for life—a chance to forget the worries of everyday life!
Where?
In Saint-Clément-des-Baleines, at the Godinand hall, where the Bartel dances—which long brought joy to the villagers—were once held.
Label Oyat and La Java des Baleines will immerse you in DISCO culture, a true movement of social and cultural liberation born in the 1960s in the underground clubs of New York.
A refuge from racism and homophobia where the dance floor levels the playing field between social classes, driven by hedonism and the pursuit of pleasure, celebration, and physical expression, disco offers a colorful escape from the economic crisis and the urban gloom of the 1970s.
Isn’t it time to revive this culture rooted in the cult of the DJ, androgynous style, sequins, and exuberant fashion? A joyful madness that suits the Label Oyat and Java teams perfectly!
On the program: a live concert at 8 p.m. (Disco Night Fever), disco dancing with the incredible Alibee and NOBi from Ladies-Co starting at 9 p.m. (show and workshop), and a DJ set by Djuk that will have you waacking until 2 a.m.!
And of course, food and drinks will be available on-site.
Doors open at 7 p.m.
