Discover Christine Éon's exhibition at Aurélie Courcier's studio
From May 8 to 17, Christine Éon will be exhibiting at Aurélie Courcier's studio in Ars-en-Ré.
A few words from the artist:
"I develop a sensitive, contemplative approach to living things.
On the foreshore, I collect stranded seaweed - sometimes damaged, fragmented by the surf - not to inventory it, but to explore its shapes, its sobriety, its graphic potential. From this organic material, I compose delicately balanced visuals, playing with line, geometry and density.
While my method is reminiscent of that of the alguier (those ancient collections of pressed seaweed), my intention is resolutely artistic: it's less a question of classifying than of revealing the formal beauty and silent presence of these marine fragments.
The exhibition invites us to look at these plants differently.
Come and discover this original and creative exhibition.
