Hire, courses and private lessons

Olivier and Marie-Pierre have been at the helm of ‘La Cabane Verte’ sailing school for 30 years (I know, it's a funny name for a boat). We welcome you from April to September to the Gros Jonc beach in Le Bois-Plage.

The sailing school is affiliated to the Fédération Française de Voile (French Sailing Federation), and we take great care to ensure that our instructors teach the children how to sail, as well as keeping a close eye on their safety. Our aim is to help children discover and enjoy the sea through our passion for sailing in all its forms.

Whether it's windsurfing, funboarding, catamaran sailing, kayaking, surfing, stand-up paddling, kitesurfing or wakeboarding, all the Cabane Verte instructors regularly practise these disciplines.

We look forward to welcoming you and sharing our playground, the sea.

We therefore offer :

> Hire: rigid and inflatable stand-up paddles, single and giant, catamarans (twincat sport, MATTIA 18), windsurfers (bic, RRD, starboard), sea kayaks, surfboards (foam and epoxy).

Formulas adapted to groups (works councils, seminars, Unaccompanied Leisure Centre, Bachelorette Party, Hen Party, birthdays).

Holiday vouchers accepted.

Sustainable tourism
We are very involved in the protection of our environment, namely the Ile de Ré and more particularly the beach and the dune.
We recycle as much as we can of our plastic and fiber boat hulls, sorting everything we can.
We use a lot of sun creams, but only eco-labelled ones that protect and respect the oceans (octocrylene-free).
Because the sea is our Mother, we must respect it!
