The International Guitar Festival, to mark the start of summer

July 2026 – 29th edition

Fans of this beautiful instrument, or those who are simply curious, gather together for a few days every year at this guitar festival on Île de Ré.

From covers of the great classics to romantic serenades, world music and concerts by young talented artists, the International Guitar Festival offers a host of events across the island in early July.

Evening concerts and daytime events make Île de Ré vibrate to the sound of guitar strings. In the hushed surroundings of churches or in the open air, enjoy the mild summer evenings and guitar music.


Jazz au Phare, 4 days of celebration in Saint-Clément des Baleines

27-30 July 2026 – 16th edition

Every year, the Jazz at the Lighthouse festival offers a varied programme mixing jazz, blues, soul and funk in an exceptional setting, over four unforgettable days. Many of the artists perform on the large stage at the foot of the Phare des Baleines lighthouse.

As the concerts take place in the evening, a magical atmosphere is created as night falls, with the lighthouse as a backdrop.


Musique en Ré, the classical music festival

From 27 July to 7 August 2026 – 39th edition

From late July to early August, the Musique en Ré festival criss-crosses the island over a fortnight with free open-air concerts, symphony concerts in churches and concerts aimed at young audiences..

Great musicians, soloists and conductors delight locals and visitors with the beauty and majesty of the works performed in a pleasant, relaxed setting. Enjoy this unique atmosphere on Île de Ré.


Festival Syrinx en Ré, classical music in the spotlight

August 2026 – 6ᵉ edition

Since 2021, this classical music festival has brought together young performers from the Conservatoires Nationaux Supérieurs de Musique et de Danse (CNSMD) in Paris and Lyon.

These graduate musicians offer a series of three concerts on Île de Ré, in the churches of Ars-en-Ré, Les Portes-en-Ré and La Couarde-sur-Mer.

Jazz en Ré Festival, evenings of jazz, swing and blues!

August 2026 – 28ᵉ edition

With the port of Saint-Martin-de-Ré as a backdrop, the Jazz en Ré festival livens up the evenings of the village’s inhabitants (and visitors!) for a weekend.

These concerts, free and open to all, bring the sounds of jazz, swing and blues to the capital of the island.

A friendly atmosphere is guaranteed for fans of the Fifties!

Festival Ré-Majeure, the place to be during October half term

Another festival that has been a fixture on Île de Ré for years is the Festival Ré-Majeure. It takes place during the All Saints’ holiday period: 4 days of concerts featuring classical, baroque and modern music.

Every year, the festival puts together a quality event with well-known artists, open to all!


Les Saisons Musicales en Ré, all year round

One concert per season

The Saisons Musicales en Ré offer themed classical, baroque and contemporary music concerts throughout the year.

Organised by the AR4S association (Association Rétaise des Quatre Saisons), these concerts are the ideal meeting place for music lovers of all ages.

Organ, brass, trumpets and many other instruments come together for an evening that has, over time, become one of the island’s emblematic cultural events.
