Ars-en-Ré library in rue du Havre
The library has three areas: adult readers, teenagers and children aged 0 to 12.
There's also a convivial area with a press corner.
The library takes part with the school in the national "Incorruptibles" prize, and welcomes children from the school, the crèche and Méli-Mélo.
The library also organizes several monthly events: a reading event on the second Tuesday of the month from 4 to 6 p.m., a public screening on the last Thursday of the month at 6 p.m., a writing workshop twice a month on Saturday mornings, including the last Saturday of the month at 10:30 a.m., and a story hour (new in 2025!) one Wednesday morning a month at 10:30 a.m.
The library also offers to come and play the video game console (Nintendo Switch) and organizes video game tournaments on a Saturday during school vacations at 3pm. Similarly, for puzzle fans, the library has set up a participatory puzzle.
