Come and discover the works of Frédéric Lucas, known as Ledœufre, at the Salle du Havre.
Frédéric Lucas invites you to discover his world through his acrylic on canvas exhibition.
A word from the artist :
"As a challenge and a game, I decided to impose a constraint on my artistic approach: that of using exclusively maritime iconography to express myself.
Since human beings are my main focus, the symbols and metaphors of the marine world give me a great deal of freedom to propose a personal universe in which, like an alchemist, I'm able to express myself.
in which, like an alchemist, I sprinkle a little mystery, ambiguity and poetry into my retort. Playing a balancing act between darkness, hope, humor and gravity, I want to invite the viewer to lose himself in the reflection of a distorting mirror in which rather imposing characters evolve, with faces marked by History and whose powerful hands grasp an allusive animal or material attribute.
This universe is expressed in paintings on canvas, but also in assemblages of pieces of wreckage and other materials, giving rise to altars and ex-votos where the boundary between the sacred and the profane becomes blurred".
