L'amicale des Anciens Cols Bleus de l'ile de Ré is an association under the law of 1901, with a memorial and patriotic vocation, founded in 1948. It has been in existence for 77 years and has 160 members and donors.
Led by an executive committee and a board of 18 dynamic and competent directors, our collegial commitment is to unite our community of seafarers around three key themes:
1 - Maintaining and strengthening the bonds of friendship and camaraderie that unite former sailors, in the memory of the joys, efforts, dangers and sacrifices experienced together in the service of France.
2 - To facilitate by all means the mutual aid of the maritime community in all its forms.
3 - Contribute to popular education, particularly among young people, by informing them and guiding them towards the navy, using all the means at the Amicale's disposal: events, website, library, conferences.
Through our actions, events and social activities, we foster a spirit of fraternity and camaraderie that unites the members of the Amicale des Anciens Cols Bleus within the maritime community.
Today, the Amicale des Anciens Cols Bleus de l'ile de Ré continues to respect traditions, but is also open to the modernity necessary for its evolution.
In 2026, we have applied for the "400 ans de Marine Nationale" (400 years of the French Navy) label, awarded by the French Navy, for the ceremonies and events we organize or take part in on the island, including the Fête de la Mer in Saint-Martin, the Fête du Port in La Flotte and Rivedoux, etc...
