The tiger mosquito: a real public health issue
Much more than just a nuisance, the tiger mosquito poses a real health risk. To learn more about it and how to protect yourself, La Couarde-sur-Mer, in collaboration with the Charente-Maritime Department and Destination Île de Ré, invites you to discover a fun and interactive geocaching trail.
The aim is to raise awareness among young and old alike of the simple but essential steps that can be taken to limit the proliferation of tiger mosquitoes: emptying saucers, putting away buckets, eliminating stagnant water, etc.
This project was conceived by Antonin Poircuitte and Kelly Durand, two young people doing community service with the Department's mosquito control service. Well done to them for this wonderful initiative!
