Explore a miniature jungle at the foot of the Whale Lighthouse!
At low tide, many animals remain ‘prisoners’ in the puddles and under the rocks of the foreshore. They live there until the sea rises again.

Wearing boots (not supplied), we'll explore this little-known world and discover some unexpected animals: crabs, prawns, small fish, sea snails, sea anemones, sea urchins, starfish...

What's the difference between the ‘rabid’ crab and the ‘arm crab’?
Did you know that the arms of the starfish grow back when they are torn off?
Why does the hermit crab hide in the shell of a periwinkle?
Why is the sea anemone covered in ‘mini harpoons’?

All these questions ... and many more will be answered on this ‘Low Tide Safari’ outing!

Please note! The ‘Low Tide Safaris’ are outings to discover and raise awareness of the marine environment. They are not introductory fishing sessions.
