Dreaming of working in an idyllic setting this summer? Don't miss our seasonal employment forum on the Ile de Ré!
Catering, retail, healthcare...
Over 500* positions to be filled at the February 26 job fair
A real highlight organized every year by the Communauté de communes de l'île de Ré, in partnership with France Travail, the Ile de Ré employment forum will take place on February 26 at the Marcel Gaillard sports complex in Saint-Martin-de-Ré. A new feature is that the forum will start at 12:30 p.m., to enable working people to get around during their lunch break. It will close at 5pm.
SEASONAL JOBS... BUT NOT ONLY!
To date, some 500 positions will be offered by some 50 companies*. In addition to the hotel, catering and retail sectors, recruitment needs cover fields as wide-ranging as health (care assistants), home help, leisure (bicycle repairers, entertainment professions), agriculture (salt marshes, etc.) and safety (lifeguards). The contracts on offer are equally varied. While activity is very high in July and August, many establishments recruit from March to mid-November, given the longer tourist season, as well as all year round. Long-term contracts (six months or more), open-ended contracts and apprenticeships are offered. Some are also accompanied by an offer of accommodation.
MEETINGS THAT MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE
Organized every year at this time, the job fair is an opportunity to meet your future employer and/or colleague face-to-face. The aim is to facilitate human contact, streamline exchanges and streamline recruitment processes at a time when artificial intelligence (when examining candidates' CVs, for example) is increasingly interfering in working relationships. Numerous partners will also be on hand to present services and systems tailored to specific audiences. These include the Ré-Clé-Ré association and the Cap emploi network (for people with disabilities), as well as the Mission locale (for young professionals). Other institutions and associations will provide practical information to candidates to facilitate their entry into the job market. This is the case in the field of mobility, for example, with the presence of the Region, the Département and the Communauté de communes (to present the public transport offer) and the Icycle association (which rents bicycles at €1/day).
HOW TO GET TO THE FORUM?
By public transport :
➢ From La Rochelle, a free shuttle leaves from the bus station at 11:55 a.m. and 1:25 p.m., as well as from
Université-technoforum at 1:10pm.
➢ From La Rochelle, you can take the regional line 150 (paying). Departures at 12h50 and
