Reopening of the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption
After several months of restoration work, the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption in Sainte-Marie-de-Ré will reopen to the public on Friday, February 27, 2026.
This inaugural day, open to everyone, will offer the opportunity to discover this iconic monument of the Île de Ré's heritage, recently restored.
The church doors will open at 2:30 p.m.
The highlights will take place from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM:
3:00 PM: Official speech
Photographic exhibition
"The Church from the early 18th century to the present day"
Guided tours of the restoration
by the heritage architect at 3:30 PM and 5:15 PM
4:00 PM: Musical interlude with Magali Zsigmond, harpist
6:00 PM: Cadence en Ré Choir
