The Nature Reserve consists of two distinct zones from a regulatory standpoint: the Nature Reserve itself and the protection zone.
⛔ Nature Reserve
The protection there is maximum. In particular, the following are prohibited:
– Access

– Hunting
– Fishing (except for owners on private land)
– Aircraft overflight within 300 meters

– The introduction of wild or domestic animals

– The disturbance, destruction of animals and their broods
🥾 Protection Area
– Motorized boats are prohibited at all times on the portion of the public maritime domain
– Non-motorized watercraft are prohibited from November 1 to March 1
– Hunting is prohibited
– Fishing on foot for family consumption only remains authorized on the public maritime domain (a prefectoral decree nevertheless prohibits fishing on foot in the Gros Sable area for sanitary reasons).
– Commissioned agents are in charge of enforcing the regulations.
