The foreshore is a large area appearing when the tide is out. It is the paradise for those fishing...
Peculiar to Île de Ré: it has numerous fish locks. The foreshore is a truly nature reserve! Fishing enthusiasts should not fish close to oyster parks, on walls and in locks (minimum sizes: clam 3.5cm, scallop 3.5cm, cockle 3cm, venus clam 4cm, mussel 4cm, oyster 6cm.).
